To look at it in Metro's shoes, would you rather spend the extra 5 Million (for the sake of argument) to provide adequate suburb service to the very few who would utilize it, or improve service in east Omaha where there are favorable conditions for increased ridership? That's considering they get extra money.

Working with the fixed budget they have now they have to say "how much sense does it make to remove a route that drives 10 people 5 miles to their destination so we can add a route that will drive 5 people 10 miles to their destination."

It's fairly simple to me. If you want better transit you have to invest. If you don't, don't count on a thing changing.

As for the BRT line I oppositely think it will be huge for our transit. I don't think people realize how much infrastructure encourages transit ridership. Simply having advanced stops with a number of amenities will attract riders.

Very likely. It wont be up and running till 2018 and it is hard to project where one will be working/living that far down the road.
