Hello everyone.

I am buying a 13 years old, 2 story, 3 bedroom house in Hillsborough area. I really liked the neighborhood when I drove around, but what do you guys think? Is it a good neighborhood? And how hard would it be to sell the house five years down the road?

I will really appreciate your feedback.

Well... It has everything to do with price, condition, etc.

In my opinion that is a perfectly fine neighborhood, but I'm not at all impressed with the quality of construction & materials that went into most of the houses. It's much better than some of the "new construction neighborhoods" but a lot of the homes have cheap windows, low-quality siding and shingles, and little to no nice interior trim.

Again, the Hillsborough area has a lot better construction than some of the neighborhoods, but it can be a little sketchy.

That said, it's hard to tell whether or not you got a good deal, because if you overpaid to buy your house, you may get burned. On the other hand, we're in a slow real estate market, so it's likely that you bought below value.

Thank you for your reply. The house was built by Paradise Homes and we bought it under 200K. It has 2001 finished sq ft and unfinished basement. One thing that makes it stand out is that it has a deep private backyard.

You're probably fine - although if the entire housing market crashes, we're all in trouble!
