I just came back last night after a short stay in Omaha. Stayed across the street from Old Market, walked the pedestrian bridge, went to the Lewis and Clark landing, saw Warren Buffett's house, and entered and left Iowa about 10000 times.

Just wanted to say we really really liked your city, and it exceeded my expectations.

Glad you liked it! We who live here always seem to find a million things to complain about, but visitors almost always leave with good thoughts about the Big O.

I agree. My husband and I are on a mission to visit all 50 states with our kids. We picked Omaha to get NE off the list. I had so many misconceptions about what to expect & really was'nt that excited. We looked up things to do & chose to visit during the College World Series. I was surprised to find I absolutely loved the city and we have actually gone back once a year since! The weather in winter is a little harsh for me but otherwise I could live there.

The zoo is our favorite in the entire country, we are baseball fans and enjoyed the Fan Zone & atmosphere at the CWS, Old Market, Joslyn Museum, children's museum,, saw a concert at the Century Link Center & the pedestrian bridge and my kids 'favorite- the big slide downtown. The people we encountered are generally friendly as well. IMO Omaha is underrated- as far as people's perception anyway...
