Default New and Need Help!!!

Hi!!!
I'm moving to Omaha in the near future and I had some questions...A friend of mine told me that Benson and Dundee are the most liberal, nice areas. I found a place on Parker Street and was wondering whereabouts that is, I am very excited for my move and thanks in advance for any advice!

Where there is a Blondo St, Parker is the next street south, to kinda give you an idea. Blondo is a major street west of 72nd (for general purposes), east of 72nd it is more like a neighborhood street and is not a through street. Now, IMO if you house is on Parker and is in the area of North Freeway, you are looking at the rough part of Omaha.

Welcome!!

That might be a bit of a rough area. That would be a bit too far east, in my mind. I wouldn't want to live below about 60th to 72nd and Parker.

You are okay, ask plenty of questions, otherwise we would have none to answer! Where you're looking is more of the high crime area of Omaha, to be in the Benson area you need to go west more. Here is a Benson site:
Benson, NE - HOME

Here is the Dundee Neighborhood Assocation site:

So frustrating to be doing this long distance so I appreciate all the advice...how about the 5000 block of leavenworth? would that be a better neighborhood?
