I think its funny that you think that we are being intolerant..
People who are not tolerant deserve no protection from intolerance..
You are obviously too selfish to consider there are good people out there that want the good life, you are not a good person kdbrich and I'm done with this thread and like the other intolerant people, I just won't acknowledge you.. I don't need to, and since I'm suppose to tolerate your intolerance, then you must tolerate my intolerance of you..
Good day..

This is a human rights issue, this is sexual discrimination, homosexuals have every right to marry just like we do, along with the protection it guarantees, and like ehenningsen, I'm done with this thread.

I have never claimed to be morally superior to anyone here. I don't claim to be a better person. I do have convictions, as do you, I'm sure. Our convictions are apparently different.
But it is funny how when said that being able to marry your way regardless of the legal boundaries now existing is wrong--I get piled on by several folks here.

Because the people "piling" on you are human beings who consider themselves good people and you are essentially saying they shouldn't have the same rights.
I guess it ultimately stems from your belief that you can choose to be gay.
If you ever had a meaningful consversation with someone who is gay, you would know how ridiculous that belief is.

I have never said that they shouldn't have the same rights. They have the exact same rights that I do.

No, they really don't. But they will, and hopefully soon. And you can believe whatever you want, but that's not going to change the facts. And what are people going to hold over the homosexual communities' heads then? They will be married, so it won't be adultery anymore. So what will the picketers try to say after that. It is really embarrassing that so many people want to push their belief systems on other people.

You also can't marry someone you're in love with? I guess you do know how they feel.

Yes. They do. I don't currently have the right to marry a man. The fact that I don't want it is irrelevant.
I'm sorry if you think I'm all about trying to condemn someone, or picketing. I've never protested against anyone's sexual preference, and I'm not going to condemn anyone for being less moral than myself. This isn't about self-righteousness. I'm no better than anyone else.

the concept of marriage for love is fairly new, actually.
And it's not a constitutional right.

Well, according to SCOTUS, marriage is one of the " basic civil rights of man".
