A more dis-jointed version of Dundee, further from downtown
|
On the other hand... Benson also has it's own burgeoning business/arts district.

Ok so I would agree west omaha is very boring and too modern, and pappilion seems like a realy nice area, I love midtown but they are so pricey maybe pappilion has a better market and Closer to everything!! Benson seems to have some nice area but not as well kept as midown, and i love downtown either way so it is tough!!

So if you are between Papillion and Downtown those are two very different areas... Downtown is the Urban core for the metro... Papillion was a small town that grew and meet the metro so has both small town and suburban characteristics...
Do you want metro urban living or
Do you want small town feel now suburban living?

I really havent figured that out yet it just depends on the house itself, it really doesnt matter butass long as it is worth the price and it is not a model i really dont care, me and my family have been looking at houses in St andrews point do you know anything abut that area the neighborhood backs right up to the interstate between Q and Harrison

Wow, it sounds like you really don't have any clue as to what you want from your neighborhood.
There is so MUCH more than the house itself.
Schools, parks, shopping, commute to work, taxes, demographics, crime, density, walking vs driving distances, future area development, etc, etc, etc. There areas you've cited vary WIDELY depending on combinations of these considerations.
It would be helpful if you shared some of your (or your parents?) priorities with regards to some of these attributes... surely you must have some.
And by the way... there are many neighborhoods in west Omaha which are not of a 'cookie cutter' appearance as well... in fact some would argue that you'll find much more upscale neighborhoods in west Omaha... than Sarpy County.

Yes i know that i mean i dont want to be in a neighborhood where they are going to still be bulding houses around us, i would like a quieter area with no building, And i know that there are some very nice neighboorhoods but i just dont want to live out west and newer development really isnt my type, and Driving when you live to far out west there isnt as much enertainment as when you live in downtown or closer to downtown there is soo much more entertainment And more my type and When it comes to schools we go Millard and M doughter went to school downtown for a while so Transortation shouldnt be a problem if we drove her across town for 2 years, I dont know what I like it Just depends if the area and schools are good and if it really what we want?????????????????????????? So i am sort of confused i need help

West Omaha comprises ALOT more than just new construction. If you haven't looked at the areas between 72nd Street (what most people think of as 'west' Omaha... but you can call it 'central' or District 66) and 156th... you have alot of research left to do.
And most of Papillion, Ralston, and La Vista are similar... all bedroom communities of Omaha, predominantly 50-60's and later residential, strip retail, some small business districts... the Sarpy County cities predominantly with that new construction which you don't seem to care for. This is the fastest growing area of the metro (outside of Ralston that is).
As far as travel times... you'll find the east/west commute is easier from west Omaha... than the north/south commute from Papillion (or Bellevue for that matter).
