Unhappy Lots of Plans

Wow. Omaha has a lot of planned communities, office buildings, etc. Hopefully they will all come to be.

It was nice to see the old buildings are going to be used for future development. I remember downtown as a busy place with lots of shopping. Then Crossroads and Westroads came to be and it seemed downtown just died. I missed shopping at Brandeis. While back to visit I noticed those two shopping areas looked tired and dated. I guess that's the result of progress.

Default Omaha: Urban Construction Boom

Star_gazer, not sure if you are still up on this or not, since the post was back on Jan 2007, but wanted to see if you have an updated collection of current construction projects going on in Omaha? Maybe a website with all the new things happening in our city.

Thanks!

Once upon a time I ran such as site ... it was called eOmaha.com.

Today a friend carries on the discussion portion of it as eOmahaForums.com. You'll find everything you want to know right there.

A great site... I like the categorizations ranging from rumor to urban to suburban (and even out state)

What happened to the site? Did you sell the domain?

I took it down because I was no longer enjoying the job of maintaining it... got a few bucks out of the domain name... it was a good run... on to the next hobby.
