It all depends on what you call fun. Just because Omaha has a lot of Museums and Art Galleries does not make it a fun city. Throw in a few small waterparks that are geared toward the kids 12 and under, still does not make it a fun city. Let's face it being ranked #30 on the list is not that good.
You have the Hockey teams which I must say are an OK time, still not a pro team, and you have a AAA baseball team that no one goes to the games, agian not that fun. CWS is geared towards the out of towner's, the City Council is trying to kill that event for Omaha (good by Dingerville). they come in town go from the their hotels to the game and back to the hotels maybe go to a few restruants which is a given .
The majority of folks that live in Omaha fill the Walmarts,Home Depots,Malls, go drinking (bars are packed), or leave the city to the boats across the river on the weekends.
That is why we are ranked #30 . If you all are proud of that number more power to you.

Omaha is a fun city. I always seem to find something to do and there's always something going on. I work Downtown at a bar/restaurant and walking home couldn't believe how many people were out on a weeknight. And that's just one part of the city. My best friend called me from Midtown and was enjoying his day off getting around Dundee and hanging with friends.

You just proved YOU are a boring person, that the city.
To dissect a bit of your post
-You have the Hockey teams which I must say are an OK time, still not a pro team,
What does it matter if it's a pro team? You're still getting a form of sports entertainment that not everywhere can boast. I never went to any hockey games until this past year and now I'm hooked. The Knights are great to watch and it's a fun time. This is from someone who never gave hockey a second thought before attending the games.
still not a pro team, and you have a AAA baseball team that no one goes to the games, agian not that fun.
I went to quite a few Royals games last year and it's still enjoyable. Plus if/when the city has their way there will be more to do inside the stadium than just watch the game. There will be picnic areas, play areas, and other amenites that are now popular in minor league baseball stadiums.
You try to make a point about not having a pro team. So what? If we suddenly got one tomorrow would that validate everything in Omaha as suddenly "fun"? No. Creighton Basketball has an average attendance that rivals some in the NBA. Plus I prefer college BBall to the NBA so I really like going to the CU games.
Not everyone is flocking to the casinos across the river either. Yes they're popular but you make it sound as if that's the only thing to do in town.
Have you ever gone on one of the riverboat cruises down the Missouri? Have you ever gone to any big festivals like the Summer Arts festival, Jazz on the Green, Shakespere on the Green? Have you ever been down to Rosenblatt for the big fire works games? We have one of the top rated zoos in the country. I imagine it would have to be somewhat fun to be continuosly ranked so high. The Qwest Center draws acts that are enough to keep it amongst the top grossing venues in the world. Again that sounds pretty fun.
I don't get people like you. You all complain that there's nothing to do in Omaha. When I ask people what they'd be doing in another city the answer is usually,"I don't know." It's not that the city isn't fun, it's that you don't know how to find or make your own fun. You could be bored stiff anywhere. Get out there and do something. Instead of complaining on a internet site about nothing to do, use that tool to LOOK for something do since it seems to be so hard for you.

So taking pictures all around town and posting them every two days is fun?
OK
In general Omaha is not a fun town, the proof is in the pudding #30.
Not # 1 or 2 or 5 or 10 or 14 or 17 or 22 or 25 or even 28 but 30.
I guess my standards are higher than most.

Taking pictures is fun for me. Just like being an ass on the internet is fun for you. Are you waiting for the Mayor to come grab you out of the chair and take you out? I'd be interested to see what it is you do in your free time since you're so down on everyone elses.
Considering how Omaha is the 60th biggest city in the country and how abysmally boring you think it is, I'd say 30 isn't bad.

#30 out of how many?? My guess is about 300 cities. I would say #30 is pretty good for being, according to some, a "cowtown".
Its not #1, #2, or even #29. However, its not #31, #32 or #300 either. We can count.

Yep your standards are so high that you continue to live in some place it sounds like you don't care for very much. I bet you look down on everyone as you drive your Geo Metro too.
