I loved Old Country Buffet out by Crossroads Mall. Used to eat there all the time and my mom loved their peach cobbler. Don and Millies was also really good.

Don and Millies reminds me of the old Kings restraunts... great onion rings (theirs or Runza's for fast food - Sortinos of Big Fred's for slower food).

Can anyone tell me about an Italian restaurant located in an older neighborhood shopping area that had neat little shops in it? It wasn't fancy. We were there one night and they had a Dixie Land Jazz band playing. The food was quite good and we loved the atmosphere. It was set back from the street a little further than the other shops.
Ring a bell with anyone? I looked through the posts and I didn't see anything that sounded familiar.

I think they have combined with Amigo's. At least around my area Amigo's also has King's Classic menu.

Hmm, that doesn't sound quite right. It was an older neighborhood. Seems like we were headed into town off of interstate, by that one mall (Crossroads????) and as you head east there's a Y in the road and you stay left, instead of the main drag into downtown. Then you get to this older neighborhood with neat little shops and this Italian restaurant.
Sorry this is so vague - it's been several years since we've been to Omaha. When we lived in Nebraska we'd always make it a point to eat at that restaurant whenever we went to Omaha.

Could it be one of the places in little Italy, down around Pierce and 6th?
