And it's clear you'd never had a good Mister C's steak and spaghetti.

I know. December of 2007 right? I assume the OP was in Omaha before that, though.

Yes, 2007. I drove up 30th a couple days ago. The building looks absolutely awful. Anyone know of future plans for the old Mr. C's building? I could've sworn I saw a bulldozer.

I don't know. I'm still not over the fact that they've closed.

Actually, I ate there several times in the two years before they closed Mister Cs.

It was time for them to close. Unfortunately...

Why do you say that? Just curious.

And had I known they were closing, I would have flown back there just to eat. That's how much I loved that place.

The quality of their food and service had dwindled terribly. Basically, it was little more than "okay". It was almost like eating at a hospital cafeteria. Nothing special at all.

Yeah, the property looks horrible.

I had heard they were going to go in with a huge Bucky's Gas Station & Convenience Store. But that has yet to materialize.

I understand why Omaha Rocks said that. There are a few restaurants that, while good, are aged way too much. Mister C's was good, but I agree that it was good that it closed when it did to preserve the integrity and good reputation that it had. Had it stayed open longer, that reputation might have been tarnished.
