Downtown... Upstream.

The other cool place was M's...

what really sucked was that Persian place across the street from the Cowboy/Outdoor shop and the very pretentious french restaurant next to that (overpriced and crap service).

I've been to Alvarado's... it is good! but still I bought a hooded top from UPSTREAM and wear it proudly wherever I go, incase an Omahan recogizes it!

Gee, I always liked Ahmad's... maybe you just caught them on a bad day.

Another good place is Butsy Le Doux's next door.

There are many very good restaurants in the Old Market.

Delice ... is a fantastic sandwich shop at 12th and Howard.

After eating at Jazz I won't be in a hurry to go back to Butsy LeDoux's. I've heard other people say so too.

Lo Sole Mio... great restaurant. One of the best anywhere. It is worth the long wait and the search to find it!

If it's still there, don't forget about Brother Sebastian's in west Omaha. One of the best steakhouses anywhere, an absolutely world-class place, at prices that are much better than reasonable!

Default New favorite Sandwich Place.

I tried a place called "Jimmy John's" Downtown location.

they have real good Subs Sandwiches. I would have to say alot better than Little king, and way better than Subway or quizno's.

You all should try it.

"Fine" dining - Prima 140
Pizza - a toss-up between LaCasa and Sam & Louie's (76th & Cass)
wings & beer - Buffalo Company
Fru-Fru coffee - Delice. My wife has gotten my family hooked on that place. Now we have to go at least once whenever someone from my family visits.

I've got a $100 gift certificate for Prima 140... what's the atmosphere like? Do I need to dress up? 'Business casual' perhaps? Or do most people have a jacket?

Business casual is good - I've never worn a jacket when we've gone there. Khakis/slacks and a nice dress shirt are my usual attire for work and that's been fine. Atmosphere is similar to places like the (now defunct) Brass Grille or Brother Sebastian's.
