several people keep telling me it is a good place to eat at

Surfside was owned by 3 guys. One of them passed away years ago, though. They also owned Catfish Charlie's out by Sapp Brother's. As you take the exit ramp, you can see a red caboose off to the right next to the restaurant. I started at Catfish when I was 15, and worked there for about 3 years, starting as a busboy, and then cooking.

Catfish has closed down, but Surfside is a seasonal restaurant offering fried fish. Not sure if they also sell chicken, as we did at Catfish.

Decent food--the corn fritters just HAVE TO be tried. They're small fried peices of bread. You tear 'em apart and put honey on 'em. They are delicious.

Anyone been to "Shucks" Oyster Bar? 120th and Pacific Street across from Big Fred's

The place is a lot of fun to hang out at, the food is great, the Oysters are even better.

I highly recommend it to anyone that likes seafood. Very casual and low key.

Default Runza!!

I am surprised only one Runza reference thus far in this thread!!

For fast food, it is hard for me to beat Runza and I now grab one every time in Omaha.
