Default Heading to Plattsmouth

Hi Everyone!

My DH and myself are leaving for Plattsmouth, going east on the 80, from Wyoming. Since this is the start of our vacation, does anyone have any suggestions as to interesting/informative/ historical things to see along the way?
I know there's not alot to see off the highway itself, except the georgeous scenery, but perhaps there might be a slight detour to something cool?

How about the drive from Plattsmouth into the town of Nemaha? Any suggestions for that route too? Is the town even still there?

We'll be staying in Omaha, and are planning on going to Boys Town, and the other tourist sites as well, but the best part of any road trip/vacation is going to see what's off the beaten path as well.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give......I'm so excited for this trip!!!!
