Hi every, I want to move to Cary,North Carolina see the thing is thats I have been to other state just in the midwest thats it. But I want to move away from here and try something new. whats holding me back is my family; I don't have family in north carolina and I think moving my family (my husband and my two boys) would be good and a change for us all. my husband is from California I went there this past summer and liked, but we want to to try something new for us. Should we move to an other state if we don't have family there?

It's been done before, by other people including myself, and it has worked out quite well for us. We moved from California to Colorado.

Just be aware, your proposed location of Cary, NC, isn't really Cary, NC, it's Raleigh, NC. A suburb isn't really a destination, it would be like somebody saying they wanted to move to Bellevue, NE, -- wouldn't it really make more sense for somebody to say they were moving to Omaha?

Cary, NC has won numerous "Best Places to Live" awards, and what you'll probably find in Cary are tons of people that moved there for just that. Meanwhile, the city that Cary thrives off of, (Raleigh) gets pushed aside, simply for political geography's sake. Cary wouldn't have ever won any awards if it were inside Raleigh's city limits.

I highly recommend moving away from family, it lets you, and your spouse/offspring become more of their own person, a way to expand horizons, if you will. My girlfriend (age 26), has become a much more independent, mature person since moving away from her family. Family will always be a phone call, road trip, or plane ride away.

If you are set on Cary, NC, do some reading up on Raleigh, like I said before that is where you will really be moving.
