Hal and Fahey aren't friends. They don't even have friendly feelings towards each other. While the pension plan is too costly Hal is trumping it up since it was done under Fahey's watch.

Well I guess that's just politics in general.

Here's to Hal Daub in 2009!

Any guess as to what Hal would do try to accomplish first? (development wise) I would guess he would be looking for some redemption with an anchor hotel for the Qwest.

I doubt it. I think he will do all he can to get the streetcars up and running and make long term city-wide transportation plans as part of the process.

Not according to Mr. Hal. He had much bigger plans. Fahey also suggested a larger anchor hotel along with the Hilton.

Hey Adam, are you trying to get into Omaha Police? I saw a photo of an OPD cruiser on youtube that said "2Adam29" underneath it.

That's cool man. I am on officer.com as well.

I assume OPD is your goal? If, so good luck. I hear that they are pretty easy to get on with and that is what's bringing me back to Omaha after 7 years. The law enforcement situation in Florida is a major clusterf*** right now, and since I was homesick anyway, OPD would make a great reason to get back home.

I was going to apply this year, but with finances the way they are I just couldn't afford to fly back and forth for the testing and then move up there. I'm gonna spend this year saving up and make a go at it either later this year or in 2010, whenever they start taking apps again.
