Default Need to get some teeth pulled, where to go?

Hey everyone.

Well, it would appear that I have a wisdom tooth growing in and seeing as how I've been in pain for several days, it will eventually come the day I need to get it pulled.

My question to all of you, since I've only been here a few years is, where to go? I don't currently have insurance so money is a factor, if you have or know anyone who has had their wisdom teeth pulled and could get me a ballpark range to expect, that would be fantabulous. I'm also just looking for a kind dentist. I don't have a huge fear of them, but I've just generally had both dentists and doctors be jackasses to me when it's discovered I have a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE fear of needles.

Which also brings me to the sedation part of it. I have recently been in the hospital and had to get an IV, after being forcefully held down that is, but since it hasn't been that long, I MAY be able to cope with another IV (also terrified of these). Is anyone aware of any specific place they have to put it, or can it be put in the back of the hand? That's the only place I'm comfortable having one.. yeah, i'm weird. And if that's not a possibility, has anyone had wisdom teeth pulled with just laughing gas or novacaine?

Thanks for all the info, guys.

Dr. James Canarsky is great but he is in Lincoln. His office is right on the corner of 48th and Van Dorn. I have a deathly fear of needles. When I see Dr. Canarsky I just close my eyes and never feel a thing. Absolutely painless. I don't know if he is cheap though. I always go to him so I don't know how his prices compare to others.

I had one of my wisdom teeth pulled with nothing but Novocaine (I had to go cheap because I had no health insurance). Its do-able but honestly I would not recommend it. It was infected because it was impacted and the dentist had to stand on the chair in order to get enough force (he was basically using pliers) to yank it out. Traumatic... So my recommendation would be gas.
