Default Rainbow Skate Arena

In 1985 there was an old Shavers Supermart converted into a skating rink called Rainbow Skate on 42nd and Grover. Does anyone recall this rink. It was only open for 10 months or so.

Our family took down the old Skatetown USA fixtures in the early summer of 1985 and created Rainbow. It had a strandwood floor with symbols on the floor that would glow under special black lights. It also featured a stage in back where we held lip sync and dance contests.

Just wondering if any old kids here on City Data remember.
