Has anyone had lasik in Omaha area?
I am thinking about getting lasik...I have three appointments for the free consult with some area lasik providers.
Has anyone gotten Lasik within the last few years (or know someone that has) and if so, who did you go to and how were the results?
I really am having a hard time deciding how to choose a dr to perform the surgery.
Thanks!

Sorry, can't help you. But, I would be very appreciative if you would update us on your decision and it's outcome. I will also be looking to find a good place for lasik.

I have a co-worker who got lasik. She was about 20 when she had it done. I dunno how she shopped around for a doctor though...

I'd suggest consulting with an Opthomologist (eye surgeon) before you do anything that drastic. I've known several people over the years who've had the procedure----too many of them had 'post-op' issues, which is why I've shied away from it.

I'm sure it's minor stuff... your eyes falling out, blindness, severe fear of other people's eye balls... you know, the usual stuff.

Two people I know had "tunnel vision" in one eye after the operation, and most of the dozen or so people I know who've had the procedure have "halo" problems with night lighting---especially when driving.

Do you know who they went to? Halo night vision is almost to be expected, but tunnel vision? Yikes
