What are the chances of getting a 4 bedroom house on at least an acre for under $190K? Without getting more than say 30 minutes from Omaha?

If it's possible can anyone recommend towns or area's where that is possible?

How hard is it for a family from the west coast to fit in to a small community?

I would say it's very possible. Price ranges in the outlying areas are relattively the same. Check out Glenwood, Ia. They have a pretty good inventory on the market and it's much more scenic than the Nebraska side. Good luck

It's entirely possible, especially depending on which direction from Omaha you want to be. I don't have any specific recommendations about specific towns, because I just don't know enough about each of them to say yes or no.

Regarding your question about fitting into a small town: I'd say that depends partly on the town, but partly on you. If you can take the town for what it is, not spend your time speaking badly about it, and not try to change what it is, you'll probably do just fine.

Good luck!
