Hey no problem there ehenningsen, just wondering about it is all. I think that anyone who reads what MattDen posts can see that he is only posting things that he believes in. I had to do some of the crime reports that had to go to the feds in the past. One boss would what you to put something that did not make sense to me and other would be totally different. I even worked gathering information that was used by the Department of Roads in Nebraska. The individual I turned over the numbers told me that my numbers did not matter that much as they would change them to the way that they wanted them to read. Guess after seeing what individuals do with numbers and not reporting the right numbers is the main reason that I just don't trust statical data. I would trust it if only one person was collecting the data then doing the reporting, but this does not happen. Keep up the good work and making sure that MattDen statical data is pointed out as pointed in just one direction like you are doing.
Thank you pittnurse70 and I would feel safe walking in Louisville just north of Denver as well. Don't know about Pittsburgh as I have never been there.

You should go there some time. You would probably like it, at least to visit. Nice neighborhoods like Omaha's, a city university like UNO, three big rivers, etc. BTW, when the U of Neb played Pitt back in 2004 in Pittsburgh, I read a report, I believe in the World-Herald, that the visiting fans thought the Pittsburghers were nice. The Pittsburghers thought the same of the Nebraskans, according to the Pittsburgh press. There was a big flood going on at the time, and the Pittsburghers said the Nebraskans were helping them.

Might do that some day. Right now my only thoughts are in going home for a few days to see my son graduate from high school. Spend some time with the wife. The going back to Prishtina Kosovo for some more time.
Guess if the Pittsburgers were in Nebraska when a tornado hit some where they would be helping us as well. Seems to be the American thing to do helping out when some one is in need of help. You find good people along with some bad people no matter where you are at in this world.

I am going to do just that. We are going to Missouri for three days after his graduation and between his golf meets. Then we are going to Washington DC for a week after the State golf meet is over. Then we split up they go back to Nebraska and I return to Europe where I work. So we are going to be busy having a good time on our vacation.
So thank you and you have a good summer yourself. Let me know if you stop at the cafe in Ogallala the next time you and your husband head for Omaha. I would like to know about the service you get.

I think my husband is going out to Indiana by himself to pick up our daughter in college. They will stop in Omaha and most likely also Ogallala (sp?) since that is our usual pit stop. I will remind him. I have to tell you though, he is worse than me about that stuff.

My wife says the same thing about me as well. Tell him to drive safe and to return home safe and sound with your daughter.

Thanks. We are excited for her to come home, and she misses Colorado (and maybe her family, LOL).

I am so surprised that Albuquerque,New Mexico(not that it has alot of crime)but Albuquerque had more muders than the state of Nebraska in 2005.
Nebraska-population-1.7million-44 murders
City of Albuquerque-480,000-53 murders and thats not including one of the bad parts of Albuquerque which most of it is just considered in the county.
Im from Albuquerque and was just reading posts from other cities and states. The state of New Mexico had 143 murders, and I was surprised because I thought every state was like this,I dont think its bad,but compared to Nebraska I guess it is.Im glad to see a state like this.

Thank you councilor j, but for some posters here like one individual, MattDen, we are in the middle of a major violate crime wave in Nebraska. It appears that is is even worse than all of the violence in Iraq according to all of the statical data that this one individual seems to point out. He has his right to his opinion, but I am a Nebraska resident and I know how safe I am in Nebraska and I don't see all of the violence that he sees in his statical data. You be safe there and don't become a number in the statical data game.
