Maybe if gays could marry there would be less promiscuity in that population! The AIDS argument pretty much cuts both ways. One could just as easily argue that because of AIDS encouraging monogamy in gay relationships is a compelling state interest.

Further, hypothetically, say men and women couldn't marry. What do you think the resulting protests would look like? It would be very similar to what gay parades look like with heterosexual couples "flaunting it."

Further, ya...gay sex in public may not be appropriate, nor fun to watch. But is heterosexual sex in public any more appropriate (notice I left out the fun to watch part...ha!)? Don't tell me that doesn't happen. Ever heard of Woodstock? Mardi Gras? A real good frat party?? Besides, there are plenty of "sex party" like events that end up in basic orgies between heterosexuals. Not sure why gays having open public sex is any worse than heterosexuals...and to suggest that some heterosexuals don't do this is pretty silly. I'm not saying you shouldn't be disgusted by group sex in public...but heterosexual sex in public is no less inappropriate than gay sex in public.

Have you ever actually known a gay person? They are no different than you or me! You act as though ALL gays fly off to San Francisco and partake in pubic group sex. That's just total ignorance.

The issue of gays flaunting it and constantly talking about the issue is merely a function of them being denied certain rights. Of course they're going to be more vocal! That's how our system works.

How vocal do you think conservatives would be if Congress suddenly passed an amendment taking away all guns in America?? I'm guessing the crowds would get pretty stinking big...and for good reason.

How is the gay marriage movement any different? The issue, by definition, involves gay sex and marriage. They can't possibly advocate gay marriage without actually talking about gay marriage!!

As I have state over and over, reasonable people can disagree with certain issues in the gay marriage movement, but as I see more of your posts, I see that its not about constitutionality and its not about what is right or wrong. Its about what YOU are personally disgusted by.

Well, I'm disgusted by a 500 pound woman and a 500 pound man having sex. Should we then make sure that can't happen by only allowing marriage between a "healthy" man and woman?

Gay sex is going to continue whether gay marriage is allowed or not. I'm still not sure what banning gay marriage accomplishes.

I was talking more about the performing of sexuals acts to oneself from a window onto the people below or drinking cupfuls of body fluids from stangers. But hey it's just all fun, right?

This is neither here nor there really. Any biologist will tell you that all these statistics show is the presence of the disease within a certain population group. It says nothing about morality or whatever spin you are trying to put on it.

As I am sure you know, many African countries have a major AIDS crisis, and the major issue there is straight men who sleep around and then refuse to take responsibility for their actions when their wives and children contract the disease. Its a major social issue there because there is a huge social stigma against the disease so these husbands often leave their wives and then go find new ones...spreading the disease ever further.

Does this mean that straight men are all awful? My goodness, I mean these men..are straight!!

No of course not, again its a population thing. Honestly when you look at the numbers in some of these African countries they are staggering...because there are many many more straight people out there than gay.
