Downtown Omaha master plan
Just read the new 30-year master plan for downtown in the Sunday World-Herald. What are everyone's thoughts on the proposed plan?

I thought so too. I liked the distinct districts (3 or 4 I think) and the implement of streetcars. I think it's important for the city to go back to its roots. I especially the 8 proposed new towers. I know it's becoming a long shot, but I hope WallStreet goes up soon to continue the residential aspect of downtown life.

On the EOmaha forum, we have "inside info" stating that there is going to be an announcement regarding the building sometime this week.

I think they said Friday.
Anyway the 2 new towers by the river were ok looking, maybe the drawing didn't do it justice.

Bosco, that's exciting! You'll have to fill us in on what the announcement is, if you're able to. I didn't think the drawings looked all that great either. I'm sure they would look better in real life.

I'd love to do that, but unfortunately all that was said was that a source was saying an announcement was coming, and another poster confirmed that he had heard the same rumor too. What that rumor was has never been stated, but they did say it was positive and must of us speculate that it's to confirm that construction will happen, or something along those lines.

Exactly. Anything will be better than what is being announced now... nothing.
