We live in Papillion. A southern suburb of Omaha. It is very, very nice and is now in a development boom. Someone else suggested West Omaha. I agree. If we were to move in the Omaha area, that's the place to go. It's beautiful out there and development is really upscale.

The southern parts of the city are also devloping nicely......Papillion, Gretna, Plattsmouth, Springfield and Louisville and are all rapidly becoming one. But, you can still find some nice acreage around here. It's a beautiful place to live.

I've lived in Millard (westside of town) for a long time and I agree it is a real safe part of town. I recently took a job that is located downtown Omaha. I am really looking into getting a condo in the downtown area.

I just like it down here alot, your right in the center of things, with living in any downtown area you have to have street smarts which will keep you out of trouble. Alot of folks in Omaha I found out have no street smarts, and those are the folks that seem it get into trouble or become victoms.

Yes Millard is "safe" and "quite", but do not overlook what Downtown Omaha has to offer. I can tell you this, try getting around Millard during rush hour traffic. No thanks.

Best area is Papillion. A few years ago it was named one of the best 25 places to live in the nation! I don't think any other town in Nebraska was even in the running. Great things going on there - especailly the new outdoor mall!

I second this. And we now have a house for sale in Papillion backing right up to the new mall. Come on over and take a tour.
