What are some good restaurants to try in Omaha?
Me and the g/f are looking for some places in omaha to try out. Open to mostly anything, probley want to stay away from sea food. My g/f doesn't like that so much. Not looking for anyplace super expensive either.

One out of the way place I love is Jonesy's Taco 1502 South 60th. Their prices are reasonable, and their chilli and other mexican is some if the best in town.
Another place off the beaten path place is Billy's cafe at 12025 Blondo(located in a strip mall). They only do breakfast and lunch, but their food is really great. I like the place not only because of the good food, but it's a little retro ie. they have sugar on the table in a container with a pour spout(good for caffeine-holics like me).
If your into home style southern, go to the Alpine Inn at 10405 Calhoun Rd. This place is neat because if you set by the window, you can watch raccoons eat the food from the restaurant(they go out and feed them). The prices of the food is reasonable and really good stuff. Some of the best fried chicken around.
You can google directions, or PM and I will be glad to send them to you.
add: Cascios Steak House at 1620 South 10th Street. For the quality of food, their prices are very reasonable.

NIcola's on 13th and Jackson. It's my new favorite place. I'm going again tonight in fact.

Stella's in Bellevue on the west side of Galvin. Burgers are fantastic!

I've heard that many times. Served on napkins, right?
I haven't been there yet, but I aim to go some time soon.
I like Burger Lust too. About 16th & Vinton, in South Omaha.

For a diner type place, try Ampe's Cafe in Carter Lake. A friend of my dad owns it and they have really good food and good prices.

The Drover is excellent but it on the pricey side (like $70-$100 for two). Lo Sole Mio's is one of my favorites and if you like Italian, I'd strongly recommend. A cozy, romantic atmosphere, fantastic food, and family owned. Trini's in the Old Market is pretty good (it's Mexican and it's in the passageway). One last recommendation is Jam's on Dodge. The food is very good there as well.
