Coming to Omaha first week of August. Any recommendations for good eats! Local family restaurants (no chains please)?? Open to any suggestions.

Petrow's just east of 60th and Center has some good comfort food, as well as burgers and shakes. Open for almost 60 years.

Don and Millie's is a great place to eat. There's one at 4430 Farnam St which is just south of Dodge Street and east of Saddle Creek Road. The cheese frenchies are to die for.

at westroads is the melting pot, the cheesecake factory, panera,P.F. Changs. those are pretty good.

The Melting Pot is at Village Pointe (168th and Dodge).
