he dont really need a taxes payed for car
that is like those who feel we should have our tax dollars pay for the westwood golf course
make it be a private thing
and stop making us taxpayers
pay for golf courses (entertainment)
and a personal car for the mayor.

I gotta disagree there. It's pretty standard practice for mayors to be provided a city vehicle. That's just one of of the perks that come with it.
As for the golf courses, don't most of them make money?

Okay yeah. Sure. Fine. It is a given that a lot of perks come with high-end jobs. That's a given.
But when there is a financial crisis - be it in a city, a state or a company - it makes sense to cut back any and everywhere possible. That includes CEO perks. Unfortunately, it's usually the CEOs (or mayors) who are making these decisions. So they keep their perks, while saving money in ways that will hurt others, especially those of lower income.
Mayors are also not apt to ruffle the feathers of those who got them elected. There is enormous over-spending in the police & fire departments. But talk of honest and legitimate cutbacks there are absolutely off-limits.
I don't know what Suttle needs to do to balance the budget. Whatever it is, it's not going to please everybody.

What over spending in the police department are you referring to? I just don't see it. They're well under their authorized strength, about to lose another round (could be up to 60) of officers to retirement, have a ridiculously outdated cruiser fleet and now they can't even afford to fly the helicopter.

I'm referring to that "glitch" where retirees were able to receive full pay for life.
I'm all for paying the police and firemen, and paying them well. But we should not be paying 50-year olds $90,000 per year for the rest of their lives.

yeah, but should tax payers pay for entertainment like golf courses. privitize them and stop making us tax payers pay for some rich white folks playing golf
tax payer dollars being used for golf courses
would be like saying the city should pay for family Fun Center
or the Amazing Pizza Machine
