Default CB city councilman Darren Bates Claims Flaw In Voting Machines, Demands Recount

Bates Claims Flaw In Voting Machines, Demands Recount - Omaha News Story - KETV Omaha

what is your take on this

I personally think he is being a sore loser. I have no problem with a recount

but I am hoping the taxpayers arent going to have to pay for this recount

Isn't this the same Darren Bates who got busted in a that prostitution sting?

Maybe the people of Council Bluffs simply decided that they don't like him.

Regarding the recount... 207 votes separate Bates (5th place) from the 4th place candidate. That's not many votes if you're talking about the United States. But that's quite a few votes when you're talking about a city the size of Council Bluffs.

Bates should probably just call it a day and go home.

Looks like they did the recount, and not one single vote was changed.

It may be time for Bates to accept the fact that the voters weren't as forgiving as the jury.
