West Hills is a church that promotes false teachings and false teachers

West Hills and it's pastor George Moore had Richard Foster as a speaker at their church earlier this year

Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster :: Book Reviews by Gary Gilley

Richard Foster : Apprising Ministries

(have info on what Foster is peddling and why Foster is a false teacher)

West Hills also heavily promotes spirtual formation

(this church's website frequently has Spiritual Formation classes)

Critical Issues Commentary: The Dangers of Spiritual Formation and Spiritual Disciplines

West Hills Presbyterian Church of Omaha Nebraska is a church that is to be avoided all at costs if you want to truly spirtually grow

1 Timothy 4:1-2

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

2 Timothy 4:3-4

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

I live close to St. Luke's off 120th, is anyone familiar with this church? I also have a 2 and 4 year old children, so the Sunday School is important as well.
St. Paul's UMC in the Benson area I know is a good UMC church

Welcome to St. Paul United Methodist Church located in Omaha, Nebraska

I know some folks who go there and that church I know preaches good sermons

Atheistic communism has caused more pain and suffering than anyone that disagrees about religion, DTO.

If you need an excuse, though, fine--sleep in and enjoy your Sunday.

just got email from

Brannon Howse regarding a up-coming church event in Omaha:

hopefully maybe some church in Omaha can help:

http://www.worldviewweekend.com

We have a large number of people registered for the Friday night, October 10th, Omaha, NE Code Blue Rally.

Worldview Weekend.com - Books, resources and conferences on Biblical Wordview, Christian Worldview and Apologetics.

However, we have not been able to find a church that will let us use their building in which to hold the rally from 6:00pm to 9:30pm.

Please call your pastor or any pastor in the area that would allow us to rent their building.

Please have them call me at 573-216-9400.

We need to confirm a building this week. Thank you for your help.

They can find out about our Code Blue Rally at Code Blue

We will send out an alert this week with the location we have confirmed.

Sincerely,
Brannon Howse
Worldview Weekend

Who said anything about communism?

What would you call the crusades and this Iraq mess? I'm not just against christianity, I'm against all religions. It's the radical mono theist ones like christianity and islam that seem to be doing the most damage.

How big is "a large number"? Are they looking at 300 or 3,000?

atheism in general (specifically manifested in communism).

the crusades, iraq, etc are a drop in the bucket compared to what atheism has done.

You like hospitals? Thank Christianity? Science? Thank Christianity.

Yes, there are people that abuse religion for their own gain, but by and large, we're the ones adopting babies, feeding the sick, building hospitals, etc. We give more to charity, per capita, than non-believers.

By and large, we may argue a bit...but we're pretty decent folk to have around. Religion (specifically Chistianity) has done more good for this world than atheism.

Having said all that, if you don't want to go to church...don't go. This is a free country.

So anyone who donates to charity or adopts and isn't a christian does it all for not? You can still have all of the good things about religion and you'll still have all of the good things and good people. It's thinking that everyone HAS to be in your religion and trying to impose your way of thinking on everyone.
