For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

The pastor there is Bob Thune--the son of longtime Christ Community senior pastor Bob Thune.
Jr. was on staff at Christ Community for probably a couple of years. He seemed solid theologically, and is a good preacher. At that time I certainly saw nothing in any of his teaching that in any way led me to believe that he wasn't orthodox. He left Christ Community to plant a church, and a small group of folks went with him. He was well-liked at Christ Community, and my wife and I were sad to see him leave.
So yeah...you could basically say that Christ Community planted them.
I don't know much about coram deo's theology now, or the Acts 29 network and Time Keller or Erwin McManus. I know that Mark Driscoll is/was part of the emerging movement, but has distanced himself from it in the last year or two, moving toward more theologically sound teaching.

also, are they are a ministry or a singles group or what are they cause I am a bit confused on whether Great Adventure Ministries is a ministry or a singles group.

Erwin McManus and Tim Keller are emergnet church leaders
one is a pastor in LA and the other is a pastor in NYC
both share basically the same theology that Doug Pagitt and Brian McLaren and Dan Kimball and Rob Bell all do.
I'll agree with that....they're all rather weak teaching. I don't listen to Driscoll, but from what I've heard...he has moved away from the emergent movement a bit.
You could check out Florence Christian Church - up in the NE part of Omaha. 7300 Northridge Drive. It's a lively and active neighborhood church, that is a basic non-denominational Bible church. Very down to earth and solid.
