Evangelical Bible Church at 7820 Fort Street... but I may be biased, I've been going there all my life. Friendly people, solid and intelligent teaching, lots of ways to get involved, no fundamentalist ravings, and really excellent music (even more biased here, I'm on the team!).

Also, I would recommend Community Bible (our sister church) Brookstreet (Evangelical Free), Benson Baptist (American Baptist), Emmanuel Fellowship (non-denominational), Our Saviour's Baptist (General Conference Baptist), and Westside (Southern Baptist). They are a variety of large and small (and mega), of locations, and of different worship styles.

I'm a big fan of sleeping in on Sunday mornings. I would highly recommend it.

I keep meaning to try the Unitarian Church... I think they may be 'my kind of people'. Some of yours too, DTO.

To an extent. Any kind of religion to me is crazy.

I personally don't really consider Unitarian Universalism... a 'religion'. It's more of a search for meaning, talking about and understanding others beliefs, accepting everyone for who they are, even a little social/environmental activism... kind of hard to put into words. You should stop by the beautiful First Unitarian Church down there in Midtown and see for yourself.

And pass up the MCC church down the street? I don't know that the unitarian church is in that building anymore. I swear is said something "Lutheran" the last time I saw it.

Default Best church in Omaha

Sacred Heart in North Omaha. Progressive Catholic, warm people, inviting atmosphere, great priest (this from a non-Catholic)!

Salem Baptist Church is a good one - I've been there before; it happens to be the largest Black church in the city
