I think there is a distinction between Willow Creek Association and Willow Creek Churches. From my research, it seems to be just a cross denominational evangelism program, not a church.
I say this because the LCMS Lutheran church I have been a member of for years is apparently a member of WCA but I have never heard of Bentley or anybody associated with Willow Creek Church.

Yeah, there must be some distinction. Missouri Synod churches certainly are not on the same page - doctrinally or theologically - with Willow Creek Church.

I never said any LCMS church except Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church has promoted folks like Jay West (who has similar teachings to Bentley
Mr. West is closely associated with the website OpenHeaven.com
(a website that promotes false prophets) (i.e. a Elijah's list or Extreme Prophetic wannabee website
I have never heard BSLC distance themselves from the Bentley 's or West type of false teachings
in fact BSLC has so-called healing seminar's from West every so often

true.
only 3 LCMS churches in Omaha are part of the LCMS
(Beautiful Savior in LaVista
and King of Kings on I street and Divine Shepard in Millard area of Omaha
than your church's leaders need to speak out cause most WCA churches in the Omaha area are.
and not just the WCA churches, but all Churches in Omaha area sooner or later are going to have to say something about
what Bell and McLaren and other emergents/contemplative promoters are promoting
VIDEO: the "New Face of Mystical Spirituality" series - Contemplative Prayer.
(a must watch video on what some of the lies Brian McLaren and others like him are really promoting and how some WCA churches in Omaha are leading people astray by supporting the teaching of Contemplative Prayer)
ALSO: if you dont believe what is being said in the videos. do research on what is said and let me know if Yungen made something up.
to those in Omaha WCA churches who dont believe that
Rob Bell and Brian mcLaren and Doug Pagitt and John Maxwell and John Ortberg and Dallas Willard and Brennan Manning and Dallas Willard
are false teachers
do some research on them and use discernment.
In fact use Discernment on me too cause I am not perfect
and I could be promoting a false teaching or could be lying to you
and need to be called out on it.

I visited BSLC for Good Friday this year as a matter of convenience and do agree that there is something wacky going on there.
On another note, I've been going to Divine Shepherd for years and have never once heard of any of these concepts/doctrine that the WCA teaches. Going through Divine Shepherd's programs though, DS does seem to buy bible study programs from Willow Creek. Maybe that's how they popped up on WCA's "church list."

I'm not familiar with most of the Willow Creek teaching materials. But I'm going to guess that some of them are probably pretty solid.
A church I would strongly recommend, I don't know if it has been mentioned, is Omaha Bible Church. This is by far IMO the most Christ centered, Cross of Christ centered, sola Scriptura church in Omaha that I have found. The preaching is expositional, (going through the Book of Romans right now). Very similar to what John MaCarthur does at his church if you are familiar with him.
The doctrine at OBC is calvinistic or reformed, that looks back to 2000 years of Christian church history to see how they interpreted Scripture. Also, looks at the people who were mightely used of God. (C.H. Spurgeon for example)
The big thing that seperates OBC from other churches in Omaha IMO, is the fact that OBC emphasizes the gospel of Jesus Christ. (I Cor. 15:1-4)

OBC I would say is a good church
been there once and do listen to their radio show on KCRO
Please note, I've never been to either of these churches. I have friends who live in Omaha but they attend Westside Church, which I understand is a rather large church.
Hope this helps!
