Some of my wife's family have gone to Country Bible Church for years. It was a very good, solid church.

It's been a few years, so I can't say for certain that it's solid now.

I actually considered driving out to Blair to check it out when we were looking for a church, but we found Evangelical Bible Church.

Trinity Church Interdenominational in Omaha is an awesome Church to go to. It is Located around 156th and Dodge Street. I encourage everyone to come and visit us! The website is trinityomaha.com. It is a bible believing, Christ centered church.

How are they with getting over the split? That seemed pretty ugly - to the point of getting writin up in the newspaper... hope the folks that are left have moved past it - fights in the church are never fun.

I think our churches pastors should be preaching like Charles Stanley does,

If you are still reading these I've heard good things about Stonebridge and Kings Way. In Lincoln I've heard wonderful things about Capital City Christian Church.

I know of a good church that does not have paid clergy, rather the members lead meetings and take turns giving sermons and bearing testimony. There is a main meeting, and then there are meetings broken up for the young children, youth, and adults that are more like classes/discussion. In Lincoln it is on 31st and Old Cheney and meets at 9am Sunday morning, I know there are one or two in Omaha. If you are interested I can put you in touch with people there who could tell you more about it.

Are they affiliated with a particular denomination? That is an interesting concept...but on the other hand, I don't know that I have a problem with the idea of full time pastors shepherding the flock.
