OR was one of the first places my wife mentioned but again I cant afford to live there unless I get a good GM or Area Manager position.

Default Hi

No, Tulsas still an option, more of an option if I can get someone to agree to hire me before I move there-it would calm my wife down-I love the ocean and mountains San Diego is the only place I know that within 100 miles or so you can go to the mountains in the East(5000 ft), the ocean in the West(zero ft)..(one time I actually saw a SNOW man holding a surfboard on the beach) Mexico 30 miles to the South(lots of stories from there)and LA to the North(even more stories).. but when I grew up in San Diego I had to work so much to afford everything that I never had time to go to the ocean or the mountains. I even managed a Fatburger a half a block from the ocean and still didnt have time to see it. I now live 500 miles from San Diego and I have been to the ocean, Disneyland, Universal Studios etc more since I have moved here to Utah. Because I can afford to take time off living in an area with lower cost of living. When I lived in San Diego I didnt know one person with a Disney yearly pass, but i was surprised to see how many people in Utah have yearly Disney passes. And we drive everytime to San Diego. The closest major airport is in Vegas 120 miles away so its sometimes cheaper to just drive to San Diego. But having Vegas 120 mile away is great close enough to visit for a day but far enough that you dont have to deal with the crime.

I am like you when I start managing a new restaurant at first everyone hates me then I eventually become their favorite manager. They just need to get to know me and they learn that I have alot of integrity compared to the other managers. And all the servers end up making more money when I start taking over so they like me even more.

So I guess that answers your -what do I do question-between restaurants I also was a GM of furntiture stores.
