Default question for those afraid of going east of 72nd street...

question for those who are scared of going east of 72nd street

do you guys go to:

Nebraska Furniture Mall or Coco Keys or Fun Plex which is close or on the 72nd street border

or go to:

Henry Doorly Zoo
UNMC
Creighton University
Memorial Park
UNO

Midtown Crossing
Qwest Center
Film Streams
Sokol Auditorium

or the new baseball stadium or eppley airfield

cause those who hate east of 72nd street must be forbidden to go to the places I mentioned

or drop the phony scare mongering of part of omaha

I am brining this up cause I notice on local tv stations have folks all the time trashing the part of town east of 72nd street

saying everything east of 72nd street is dangerous

sorry to go on a rant. but this is a good discussion worth starting

I love it east of 72nd street.
The high crime keeps the cost of housing down.

LOL

Just joking.

I'm exactly the opposite. There isn't much in Omaha west of 90th that I have any use for.

Yes east of "you name it" everyone is so busy with "keeping up with the Jones".

East of 72nd is by far my favorite part of town. The west side of town has no character, could be any city. For me; Omaha is east of 680, with a few small exceptions.

Most people aren't afraid of going east of 72nd. If we're being honest, driving down 30th street would be a little closer to the issue of fear. jmo.

What are you saying? That there's nothing culturally significant about miles and miles of strip malls, McMansions, big-box stores, and chain restaurants?

What a stupid thread. Fyi, people aren't scared of 'east of 72nd'. They avoid parts 'east of 72nd'. The fact is, there aren't really any dangerous parts of Omaha west of 72nd. But I sure don't know anyone avoiding going downtown, to the airport, zoo, etc.

I think this thread was just started to spark up the old pissing matches that have gone on here before.
