I don't understand why people in Omaha always complaining about the snow. Is it because they have to drive in it? I love snow and this year is great. It is finely going to really hammer us . Is it because they can't get around in there Hybrid, electric vehicles? It's almost Christmas and it will be a white one for a change.

I don't mind the snow, in fact, it's nice to have some for Christmas, but I hate how it sticks around - freezes, thaws, then refreezes to become a huge chunk of ice and gravel.

And yes, people seem to have no concept whatsoever on how to adjust their driving techniqes on snowy streets.

I don't mind snow.

What I don't like is the fact that it is making it impossible for our sons and their wives to make it here for Christmas.

Yes I under stand that I was a over the road truck driver and it would be snowing hard and they pass you and you'll see them in the ditch about two miles up the road even 4X4s . I think the biggest problem is they are in a big hurry. I called it ( IN A HURRY TO DIE).
My two sons and daughter and boy friend are flying in to day I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they make it. I'm just worried about the flight making it here .

We love to complain about it because it makes us feel tougher somehow that we're able to deal with such hardships. We're "heartlanders" and we are a different breed.

Nah, I just complain to complain. Something to cure my boredom, because you know, I am a heartlander.

Yeah, probably isn't very likely. I think they've already cancelled all their Delta flights so far.
