So then, what to you is an acceptable gay relationship?
To me? I'm a traditionalist. I think even straight couples should be chaste and abstinent until they are properly married. (by properly, I mean in the tradional and religious sense of man and woman) Are people ever chaste and abstinent anymore? Maybe rarely, but at least ideally I think that's how it should be.

I'm not talking about that at all. As in what in your opinion should their limits be if two men or women loved each other? What should they and and what should they not be able to do? And I'm still waiting for those verses

There are a couple verses in the Bible that say that homosexual sex is an abomination to God. I'm sure you can Google them, or I can if you want me to.
That said, I'm wondering what all these rights are that homosexuals are being denied.
- As a landlord, it is illegal for me to not rent to somebody because he/she is gay. As a practical man, I'd honestly probably rather rent to homosexuals, because I think they'd probably take better care of the house.
- The health insurance denial thing is completely overblown. All kinds of people are denied health insurance for all kinds of reasons. Even biological children.
- Marriage? There are all kinds of churches that will marry gays, if they want to be married in a church. There are several states that will do "civil ceremonies" (whatever that is) if that is what is preferred.
- Wills & estates? Get it in writing, just like everyone else has to do.
- Hospital Visitation? Again, complete hyperbole & BS. My primary line of work takes me into hospitals on an almost daily basis. Sometimes I'm wearing a suit, sometimes blue jeans. I don't wear an ID badge. NOT ONCE have I EVER been denied visitation access. Never. How do any of them know I'm not gay? The only time gays are denied visitation rights is in cases where everyone is denied visitation rights.
It's 2010. There are a LOT of gays who need to quit crying wolf, and start living their lives. Nobody owes them anything, just like nobody owes me anything.
Right around bible verse quotations is where the moderators lock down the threads, it will happen soon! The Bible says lots of fun things right around the homosexual damnation part that I am sure others will quote, and then everyone gets really angry!

As far as the Bible goes, the Constitution guarantees separation of church and state.
Nebraska has no protection for gays when it comes housing. It would legal in Nebraska for you to deny gays any housing you rent out. This is where people in Nebraska get ignorant. We don't have the same protections like race, national origin, religion, etc. This is why gays demand equal protection in the areas of employment and housing. Ever heard of ENDA? Civil ceremonies do not grant the same benefits that straight marriages enjoy. This is why gays demand equal marriage rights. On hospital visitation rights, Obama just signed an executive order, ordering all hospitals to grant this to gays. Just another reason I voted for Obama, and another reason I will vote for him again. Remember the hate crimes bill he signed into law last year? Exactly. Benson will make a great home for gays!!

This is where people in Nebraska get ignorant. Yes, you ARE ignorant.
We don't have the same protections like race, national origin, religion, etc. This is why gays demand equal protection in the areas of employment and housing. Again, I refer you to Exhibit A - FHEO.
Ever heard of ENDA? Yes, as a matter of fact, I have. Want to know why ENDA doesn't get passed? It's because of stupid little pissant arguing about deatils by homosexuals.
Civil ceremonies do not grant the same benefits that straight marriages enjoy. This is why gays demand equal marriage rights. Absolute BS. A couple who is married in the courthouse has every legal right as a couple who was married in a church. To say otherwise is a flat-out, flagrant lie. Obviously I'm not surprised that you say otherwise...
On hospital visitation rights, Obama just signed an executive order, ordering all hospitals to grant this to gays. Just another reason I voted for Obama, and another reason I will vote for him again. Another crock of crap. Gays have NOT been being denied hospital visitation rights. Absolute BS.
If you have personally been denied hospital visitation rights, it's because either the patient didn't want you there, or because you're so danged obnoxious that NOBODY wanted you there. I suspect both could be true.
Remember the hate crimes bill he signed into law last year? Exactly. Benson will make a great home for gays!! I'm assuming there are already gays in Benson.
The seperation clause was designed to keep the government out of religion, not keep religion out of government. A common misconception.
It's also a misconception - based on total ignorance - that Christianity is the only religion. There are some extremely religious, zealous, evangelistic Atheists - and they don't seem to think there's any problem with forcing their religion on the government.

According to my perspective of Christian morality, it doesn’t matter if you are thinking impure thoughts about a man or a woman; if that person isn’t your spouse those thoughts are wrong.
But we are human beings. Impure thoughts arise from time to time and they can be difficult to control. Most people have desires about people of the opposite sex; some have them for a person of the same sex.
As a Christian, how you respond to those thoughts is the key. As a Christian you should always try to do God’s will, not your own. Doing His will is how a person finds happiness, not living out every temporary desire. Just like a straight person having impure thoughts, gay people should try to refocus on the good and healthy things in life. Avoid the temptations if you can’t control them. Live chastely and live free from the bickering and the arguing.
God is calling you to use your talents to advance his kingdom on Earth, not live out every physical relationship that you desire. I’ve mentioned before many of the gay people I’ve met in the past have been funny, outgoing, inspired, confident, and creative people. These are talents that the world needs and could desperately use. Talents that could be spent on productive things instead of trying to get the world to accept something so many people feel is wrong.
SurfOmaha is a perfect example. You are working so hard to get people to accept you and your Benson gay district idea. You could take your little behind down to Benson and look for an opportunity to start your own business, or find a way to support one of the existing businesses. Maybe start a pizza shop and treat your employees better than you think Zios treats theirs. Life is too short man.
Lastly, I don't tend to quote the Bible verses, because the Bible can be interpreted to mean whatever a person wants it to mean. And with things like gay marriage they are always the same argument and counter argument. But if Bible verses are the only thing keeping this thread from getting locked.. . .
^^ You hit on something EXTREMELY important! SurfO is just running off at the mouth - and is unbelievably obnoxious about it. Loudly demanding preferential treatment, rather than earning respect. That itself means his cause loses, whatever that cause is.
There is a coffee shop in Benson that I frequent. From all appearances, and from what I've been told, the owner is gay. Do I still go there? Yes. Not because of or in spit of the gayness of the owner. I go there because it's a good coffee shop. Why is that not good enough?
