So just what WAS this man - from West Omaha - doing down at 16th & Laird?

Gee, I wonder...

Let me think about this for awhile...

Yeah, I think we all know.

No, it's not.

But when you go there to buy drugs, and get caught with a gun and crack cocaine, you're probably going to get into trouble with the law.

Yeah, throw an Aimpoint or EOTech on there and you're good to go.

Rocks, what you mean to say is... this kind of thing RARELY happens anywhere but northeast Omaha... and when it does, it can usually be attributed to the same type of behavior which is commonplace in northeast Omaha.

No, actually what I meant to say is that this kind of thing - and massive drug deals - is EXTREMELY COMMON in West Omaha. Particularly in the Millard Schools.

It's just that the media won't report it unless it happens in NorthEast Omaha.

In the absence of the same escalated rate of associated gun violence/homicides/etc which north Omaha has ... I guess our west Omaha drug deals are simply conducted in a much more civil/peaceful manner, huh?

I think they are, yes. Kids just get their drug money from the parents. No need to rob a Walgreens and risk getting shot to death.

So the users are safe. The West O kids who are taking high risks are the ones who drive down into NorthEast O to buy the drugs, then peddle them at the Millard Schools. I can only assume that they're well compensated.

No doubt, there's so much demand in west Omaha, a few seek those bargain drugs in your part of town. Well, I'm certainly happy that our economic fortunes have left us without nearly the rampant violent crime which might otherwise accompany this.
