Hello,
I Work in Santa Ana and live in Murrietta. The long commute to and from work has all but driven me mad. I want to rent a small space near my work in Santa Ana. I often see small little cottage/casitas behind houses (or on the side) and wonder how i might find one to rent without going door to door.
Thanx in advance for any input..

Those are garages and they already have 3 families living in them.

Those types of places(when they are listed, which is rare), are generally in publications like the Pennysaver(pennysaverusa.com)

I suggest you move to or near Santa Ana. I've been here in Murrieta for a little over six years and I'm ready to leave.

I know some people who have side or back houses. Some are built from garages, some are not. Some are just small cottages. I will ask whether any of them are available. If you find one, you must move very quickly. You do nto get much time to make a decision. They never seem to be vacant long. THere is a lot of call for nice small houses.

You could also look into renting a room or apartment.
