I have tried 4 so far:

Texas BBQ, Lake Forest (excellent, a 9)
Tulsa Rib Co, Orange (Good, an 8)
The Rib Trader, Orange (horrible, 0)
Blakes, Anaheim (bad, 2)

What are some other good/bad places for Ribs or Texas BBQ??

Johnny Reb's in Orange off of Chapman has really good BBQ with a rustic environment.

Default mmmm

I love Johnny Rebs. Closer to my neighborhood there is a great family friendly place called The Beach Pit with the most charming outdoor patio with heaters and twinkle lights, and the BBQ is awesome. They have pulled pork that is killer. Save room for homemade banana pudding.

Don't know about their ribs, but most of the food is good at Lucilles Smokehouse (bbq style cooking) and a new one just opened in Irvine/Tustin at the new "District" shopping center at Barranca and Jamboree...mmmmm good!

Lone Star on Irvine Blvd in Tustin has by far the best ribs. (IMO) If you haven't tried them there, you must! ~K~

Default Beach Pit

Sorry...The Beach Pit is in Costa Mesa on Tustin (near E. 17th St.). Really cool location.

I second that.
Big beers, order the "larger" serving of pork ribs, get the garlic mashed potatoes, the cornbread....
