Rent Apartments In Oc
Hi, my name is Nicola and I am searching an apartment for rent in the OC area. I like Costa Mesa area or Santa Ana, Huntington beach is good too. There is someone can give me some name of good apartments and best service? I try to see in rent.com or move.com and some apartments likes very goods, but if I read the ratings in apartmentratings.com the ratings are very low!! Ratings are really true?? If it is yes, someone can tell me some names of good apartments?
Thanks

I don't have any particular suggestion, but in general ratings at places at apartmentratings.com are accurate. The more ratings you see the more likely its true.
Also, a lot of the apartments you'll find on rent.com aren't good. The better apartment complexes typical don't need to waste their time advertising on such places.

Hi Nicole -
To be frank - Santa Ana tends to be a bit lower-income and culturally diverse, so many OC folks are not drawn to live there (sorry if I worded that offensively...). Please don't let that discourage you from considering living there. There are some nice areas.
I personally would recommend you focus on Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa. Just do an internet search for "rent in Huntington beach" to get started. Some websites charge a fee to see rental info, but many do not. Particularly in Huntington Beach, there are lots of private rentals that you wouldn't find on an apartment complex website like Rent.com. Private rentals can be great - normally there are fewer regulations, and your landlord may not raise the rent every year like apartment complexes do; just want to watch out for creepy landlords or landlords who live too close!
Don't get too worried about bad reviews. Most tenants who post apartment reviews do so because they're angry and venting about something, so there may be an unfair and exaggerated imbalance of feedback.
Good luck in your search!
