Default LAX to SNA?

What's the best way to get from LAX to SNA?

Anybody know a cheap limo service? I'd like to surprise my wife.

What about the SuperShuttles ... I believe you can catch one of those and have it take you to John Wayne Airport (SNA)...

LAX FlyAway Bus

That'll get you from LAX to Irvine, then you can probably take a shuttle to SNA. It might be cheaper overall and quicker (no stops?) than taking a shuttle directly between the two. The FlyAway bus drops you off 8.8 miles from SNA.

While probably still a good idea, for some reason the Irvine Flyaway is really expensive (like $25??? one way) compared to the Van Nuys flyaway ($7??? one way)

True, but I've paid nearly that much just getting from Fountain Valley to SNA on a shuttle bus. I can only imagine what they charge for 40 miles.
