I'm trying to get a grasp of the political climate.

Sure, let me speak for every single person in OC.

I'm not sure what the point of all your posts is? What are you looking for that you can't Google for yourself?

Orange County is not a company with a company policy, such as Disneyland or Sony.

It is a place where many different types of people LIVE, which means it is unpredictable.

Seems like you're thinking about moving here. Come and find out, and don't believe the popular image in the media or on those dumb TV shows.

The fiscal policy of OC is the same as the fiscal policy of the rest of the United States - i.e. spend lots and lots of money that you don't have so that one day you will be so broke that you will have to deal with a financial apocalypse. But since that is LATER why ruin our TODAY by worrying about such things, just SPEND SPEND SPEND on credit and enjoy life, deficit spend so much that it masks out all of the true problems and makes it seem that everything is zooming ahead..it's too short to worry about silly things like fiscal responsibility....

Orange County is an extremely Republican climate, with a few exceptions (most notably the City of Santa Ana). I imagine you can just go read up on Republican fiscal policy as a place to start and wing it from there.
