Default Best place to Live in Orange County?

Hi! I am currently in Inland Empire right now and my husband got a new job in Garden Grove, I have 3 kids and 2 of them are toddlers. I have no idea what Orange County will be like, I am sure it will be a lot different from what I am used to. I need to know the best city to raised my kids, I am looking to rent a house and do not know where to start.

Best place in OC if money isn't an issue: Irvine or Newport Beach.

Best value for the money: West Garden Grove, west of Brookhurst.. (not to mention a short and sweet commute.)

Parts of GG are OK as are parts of Westminster, right next door. But there are some sketchy areas in both cities as well.

If you go inland just a bit you will be in Cypress which is a nice, safe, affordable city. I have friends who raised their kids there and they were/are really happy with the schools and the amenities.

Like has been said, budget is everything. Just try to live fairly close to where Daddy works...

Good luck!

Irvine is tops for families and the best planned community in O.C. However it is too far a drive from Garden Grove. With toddlers you will need him home more so keep the travel time within 15 minutes. Hunnington Beach has houses of different prices. ALSO LOOK AT LONG BEACH it is not far from
Sunst Beach and the home east of U.C Long beach are affordable I raised my sons there for many years and would like to have my old house back!!

Irvine. It's at the center of Orange County so the commute anywhere is within reasonable time and distance. Every single school in Irvine is top notch, so that won't even be a question.
