I am thinking of moving to Yorba Linda (for various reasons), but I currently work in Rosemead. What is the best route to take to save time and avoid traffic? Is there a train option? Thanks.

There is no train station in Rosemead. The closest is El Monte or Monterey Park. The second question is where is the closest train station to Yorba Linda? Not too close, I'm afraid. Anaheim, Fullerton or Orange are the options you have. I would say that you would be stuck driving the automobile for that "little" trip.

You have 3 options on the freeway system. All begin with the 57 north from YL. You can take the 60 west, the 10 west or the 210 west. On any given day all 3 of these routes can be a total clusterfrak or all 3 can be wide open. It just depends on when some idiot motorcycle rider chooses to split lanes at the wrong time or when some cell phone-using chowderhead decides to change lanes without realizing that he/she is right next to a big rig.

There are probably surface street options that I am unfamiliar with - but overall, depending on the time of day you will be shuttling back and forth, be prepared for the worst. And if it happens to be raining...call in sick.

Good Luck!
