Default Number of major intersections in Orange County

Does anyone have any idea how many MAJOR intersections there are in Orange County?

Major, meaning primary streets, like Harbor and Katella.

I was hoping this might be documented somewhere (maybe Caltrans?).

You'd need a clear definition of "major" first. I'm sure there's statistics showing the number of cars per day per intersection. You'd just have to decide how many of those qualify as major and count them up.

I'd consider any street with three or more lanes in both directions to be a major street.

It looks like the only way I'm going to find out is to dig out the map and count.

EDIT:

I'll go with Google's definition. If you look at maps.google.com, all the major streets are yellow, everything else is white.
