This forum has been invaluable as I continue to pull together some information for our relocation. I have narrowed down my search to San Clemente and the Ladera Ranch/Mission Viejo area. Our price range is 600K-799K. We have young children and our two oldest play travel soccer and basketball. We are coming from an area of strong schools, so I'd love to know if you had your preference, which of these areas rank number 1 for schools, sports and overall friendliness of neighborhood? I know San Clemente has good schools, but has an overcrowded high school. I know MV/Ladera Ranch has great schools, but isn't that close to the ocean (which is pretty important to us). ANY information about what it is like to live there would be so great!! Thanks so much again!

Lots of info here:

Finally, if we move to the area, our kids are very sports oriented and play travel soccer and basketball. Which OC areas are the best for these sports? Thank you SO MUCH!
