Isn't it? I thought it was amusing when they started putting them up, I for one think they're ugly -- arts and crafts with grandma is what comes to mind.

Spending money on transit helps drivers too. The more people who take a bus or train means less behind the wheel, less cars, less traffic.

It depends on where you are and where you're going. Some areas have nice transit. Most areas still need work.

Exactly. But LA is planning to widen the 5 between the 605 and the OC border. The first part for a couple of miles right near the border should start soon.

No it doesn't. Not relative to the rest of the US anyway. It's better in LA and even OC than all but a few cities/metros (NYC, DC, SF, Philly, Boston, and Chicago). OCTA has an excellent bus system. The only negative is that more frequent service is needed, but it still does the job.
