Im not saying all cops are bad but this is horrid & sad. these 6 foul fullerton cops should be fired & prosecuted for murder. LOTS of cops are out of control nationwide & something has to be done about it. They are paid by the citizens to protect & serve & many of them are bullys & corrupt. The pics are graphic cause the cops beat the crap out of this homeless mentally ill man. The man killed by the bully cops was only 135 lbs. 5 fullerton cops are still on duty & 1 on med leave. The fullerton police dept is totally pissed off that this is getting nationwide attention & the FBI are involved. The mayor of fullerton is a coward & will not talk to the victims family. Damn losers....

I agree with Phil. This video and picture mean nothing without knowing what kind of a fight this mentally ill man was putting up (FYI, it can be a fight the size of a mountain with these type of people)

Moderator cut: snip I've been following this death by hands of the Fullerton Police on another forum for a couple of weeks now. Currently the FBI in now involved in the investigation and the family of the MENTALLY ILL homeless man has been offer $900,000 so far to make this go away. Here is a better link with more information and a VERY GRAPHIC picture of Kelly Thomas in the hospital right after the beating that caused his eventual death. Needless to say Rodney King got a lighter beating than this person. Kelly Thomas was no saint but the beating he got by the six Fullerton LEO's is unacceptable at the very least and more likely criminal. Very detailed ongoing info of the case is found on the OC Register.

An attempt to smear the police? The guy was beaten by the cops (who are not denying it!) and brought to a hospital in a coma. He died days later. When is it EVER okay for cops (in this case SIX of them) to beat someone to death? That's what happened here.

Sorry, looking at those pictures I have difficulty seeing how that amount of force was necessary. Had this been a case like the last BART incident where a deranged homeless man was shot and killed I could see the argument. That's just a little different than tasering the guy five times and beating his face into a pulp while standing around and yelling, "Stop resisting, stop resisting."

Here is something to think about. Moderator cut: rude I have had my cars broken into before AND once I have been attacked by a schizophrenic man so maybe I am a little biased (you would be too, trust me). Still, I will not defend what the cops did as it was illegal, but I do not feel sorry at all for the man who died either.

Moderator cut: snip

6-1 on an unarmed human is a gang beating pure and simple.

I nominate you for the 2011 Mohandas K Gandhi Triumph of the Human Spirit Award.

I know that some dude said;
