Arm yourself. Tasers. Pepper spray. Get a vicious pitbull. Put your employees behind glass, if you can even find someone that is dumb enough to work behind the counter.

Its not that bad. You sure you're not thinking about Stanton a couple of miles north? Thread starter had better speak Vietnamese and Spanish though.

The little liquor store on Bolsa Chica and Edinger in HB gets held up about twice a week. And that is in a relatively decent part of town. Beach Blvd in Westminster is far worse.

Are there any laws that would prevent a liquor store from accepting debit and credit cards only (no cash)? Disposable credit cards can be bought at practically any grocery store these days, so there's no excuse not to have one. This would totally eliminate armed robberies - unless they were after liquor and tobacco products.

You are crazy. I would like to see any statistic that shows anything close to this.

I lived and worked in Westminster all my life. The business clients that you will have will be predominately Hispanic and Vietnamese. The Vietnamese are balkanized (do business mostly with their own race). Westminster has always be a blue collar town and middle to low middle income area. It does have both Vietnamese and Hipanic gangs. Westminster and Beach Blvd is a very busy intersection. Westminster Blvd has a lot of mini malls , but the business atmosphere is not real good.
