I say a tie between Anaheim and Fullerton, because they have so much variety.
I also like Buena Park and Orange, pretty nice places to live. Parts of Santa Ana (Floral Park, etc.) are also very cool.
The ones I don't like: anything on the coast (cold weather, cold people)

Which of these do you think is the best for someone dependent on transit?

No, it's not Las Brisas, though I do know where that is. It's further south past the main intersection in Laguna, as you're going uphill on PCH. Not a fancy place, just killer views. I'm really having a senior moment. I also can't remember the name of the little cliffside park as you're coming into Laguna from the north -- it's in a residential area and not something you'd know was there. Spectacular views.

I kind of want to take back my vote for Irvine because of the dick move Irvine Co. pulled against Roosters/Traveland. The harder Irvine tries to be like the next Beverly Hills, the more they become just another lame and boring South OC city.

I suppose I could give Newport Beach my vote, but it's a bit cliche and overrated IMO.

Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach tend to attract a particular demographic (just like any beach town.) Seems most of the rude drivers in these towns are only in this demographic though..

For the first, either Beach House on Sleepy Hollow Lane or Cliff Restaurant at the corner of Coast Hwy and Legion St.

For the second, Crescent Bay Point Park.

Yayyy, yes, it's The Cliff (restaurant) and Crescent Bay Point (park) that I remember, for their spectacular views of Laguna. Thank you!!!

You're welcome. Sixty one years and five generations living in Laguna do come in handy sometimes!

Wow, that is impressive! When I was living in OC in 99-01, it seemed that most of the folks of "my" generation came from somewhere else, while the next generation (kids in their 30's, haha) were CA natives. Anyway, you sure do live in Paradise, there...
